8 years after my initial review and the whole app refuses to allow me to do anything. At all. Got a new phone and I'm being shadow banned? UPDATE: Emailed well over a week ago, followed up twice, zero response, still cannot post, respond, or like anything on the app after downloading to a new phone. UPDATE 2: it's been 2 weeks since the initial request was sent. Several follow up emails were sent, the subject line was changed per request. Still no response. Still can't use the app.

There are many serious problems with this app. Fundamental issues that should be solved immediately but have remained for years. The main one is the huge presence of child predators, including LITERAL ADVERTISEMENTS FOR CP!! I'm not joking or exaggerating. There are also issues with how the app actually functions. For example, when you're messaging someone, the messages ALWAYS send out of order, making conversation impossible to follow. I'd explain more problems, but I can't fit them all in here

Whisper has an interesting concept, but horrible execution. The app drains your battery faster than an HD movie due to its many ads and bloated UI. The app does not make it easy to edit or delete posts. You cannot remove your account either. So your whispers become permanent record due to the bug that crashes the app when you attempt to delete too many messages at once, forcing you to delete each item individually. This app needs a COMPLETE OVERHAUL. Do not download in its current state.
